Axes Design was formed in 2011 by its current managing director Mr Bob Ceen, with a focus on technically demanding projects particularly those in the UK motorsport industry.
Prior to forming Axes Design, Bob spent many years as the technical director of a well established engine and vehicle test systems manufacturer based in Malvern, England. The test systems were typically produced for the international automotive industry and often supplied as part of major projects including infrastructure and services.
During this time he had overall responsibility for the design and development of all systems and products produced by the company. The responsibility of design over many years leading to expertise in diverse disciplines within mechanical, electrical, electronic and software engineering . Over the years Bob has worked with vehicle manufacturers , F1 engine suppliers and major oil companies in over 20 countries worldwide.
Over the last 6 years Axes Design has focused on projects and some consultancy involving high speed electric machines and turbo-machinery. These projects have involved Axes in the development novel and effective dynamometer and battery simulation technology with its associated instrumentation and automation.
Since 2015 Axes has been part of a consortium developing a prototype waste heat recovery system which has resulted in the production of a bespoke turbo-machine and its associated 125,000 rpm dynamometer test system.
