In 2015 , Axes completed the supply of the first three test rig systems to aid the development of  Integral Powertain’s innovative boosting device called SuperGen.

The test rig project began with the design of a comprehensive test scheme encompassing the need to control and monitor the mechanical  electrical drive and the compressor of the test units.

The initial test system supply included compact fully regenerative 55kW AC drives with power switchgear for the dynamometers and other rig controllers,  coolant conditioning modules and high speed air valve drivers plus electronic instrumentation and control systems.

The  instrumentation and automation system was constructed and commissioned by Axes. It provides CAN based communication with the test unit while controlling the turbo-compressor parameters , belt drive and coolant supply conditions .  Over 60 channels of electronic instrumentation are included to monitor turbo speed, torque and the units electrical load parameters in addition to general monitoring and control functions.
