Axes builds cost effective conditioning modules to provide coolant, oil and other fluids at specified temperature and pressure for test rig use. These modules are designed to use a number of standard components for which 3D models have been produced in addition to those components manufactured by Axes so as to meet the customer specification with minimum design time.
The package size chosen is generally 800(h) x 600(w) x 300(d) and provides heating and cooling of the delivered process fluid with the option of pressure control on both feed and return paths.
The modules incorporate a non pressurised fluid tank to support expansion of fluid in the test system. Temperature ranges are typically 10-90C although higher temperatures may be specified. Heating capacity is typically 3kW while cooling may exceed 15kW via externally installed chilled water loop. Delivered fluid is pumped at flows of up to 30 litres per minute and may specified for low pressure (0..1 bar) or medium pressure < 15 bar duty. Pressure may be set via manual pressure control set valves or by electronic control. Modules are available for control by automation systems provided by others or with a control system.
